Bali is so picturesque that anyone could easily be fooled into thinking it’s a painted backdrop: paddy field trip down steep hillsides, lush and tropical forests, soaring volcanoes and the lovely beaches lapped by the pleasantly warm waters of the amazing Indian Ocean.
Recent tragic events may have scared away some of those simply seeing Bali as a place for cheap booze. While the Bintang is still plentiful and tasty, Bali’s beautiful temples, ceremonies, mountains, beaches and passion for life are well undiminished and much more easily enjoyed than ever.
